Missables at a glance: progression gates
Use this as a navigation order, not a complete quest chronology.
- Still exploring: review local NPC requests before leaving an area or starting its major fight.
- Approaching Mirage Estate: audit earlier ending-related Tales before entering.
- At The Last Chance Bell: review remaining ending work and your fallback save before the finale.
- After the ending: check recovery per quest; free-roam access is not proof that failed Tales reset.
Before you advance: pre-gate audit
Pause at a safe stopping point and work through these checks in the game. This page does not inspect your save or certify an ending.
- Identify your next transition using the two gate sections below.
- Read active, completed and failed Journal entries; an accepted request is not a completed quest.
- Revisit unresolved NPC requests in your current area before moving the story forward.
- Keep a separate earlier manual save where the game allows it. Check its location and time before overwriting anything.
- If you want trophies, compare quest deadlines as well as the trophy list. A map tick only records what you marked.
Quest-specific missables and earlier deadlines
Do not wait until Mirage Estate to start the audit. PBZ Codex reports earlier quest cutoffs; some involve accepting a request rather than finishing its entire chain. The examples below are selected warnings, not a complete route.
Level 1 spoilers: show early quest examples
PBZ Codex places the first objective of A Severed Mindseal before leaving Weeping Creek Valley. It places the first objectives of The Journey Home and Young Master Lan before entering Pangzhen.
For the healer chain and Crimson Forest settlements, reports differ on the precise boss trigger. Review outstanding requests before the region’s major fights and follow the source’s quest-level notes; do not assume the later estate gate protects them.
What to finish before Mirage Estate
PowerPyx treats entry into Mirage Estate through the Green Serpent House in Pangzhen as an earlier ending-quest cutoff. Stop at that transition and review unfinished purple-icon Tales. Keep your pre-entry save separate from any later finale save.
A warning is a reason to review the Journal, not a substitute for doing so. Entering the estate and committing to the final sequence are different steps.
Level 1 spoilers: show a named prerequisite
Secrets at the Heart of the Lake appears in PowerPyx’s pre-estate list. Check its completed status, then compare every other earlier Tale against the source’s full list. One completed chain does not certify the whole route.
The Last Chance Bell: final commitment check
PowerPyx identifies The Last Chance Bell in Mount Soulrend as the finale commitment: leaving exploration for the final sequence. Its guide reports the warning even when ending requirements are complete. Seeing it alone does not mean your route has failed.
Before proceeding, inspect unfinished ending objectives and retain a separate manual save. A save here cannot undo an earlier missed deadline; keep an older pre-gate save too if you have one.
True Ending / Perfect Ending preparation checklist
PowerPyx uses True and Perfect for the same community-described route. Treat those terms as guide vocabulary, not an official ending taxonomy.
- Before the estate: compare earlier required Tales with your Journal.
- Inside and after the estate: finish remaining ending-related work before committing to the finale.
- At the final warning: verify quest completion in-game, not on the map checklist.
Level 2 spoilers: show later preparation and disputed requirements
PowerPyx links Bloodline Awakening to completing the Long Pillar challenges, with its final step available after entering Mirage Estate. Verify the quest says completed.
Phantom Blade Atlas additionally lists optional encounters as ending requirements and flags some details as single-source. Treat extra dependencies as disputed; read its late-game notes only if you want those names. We do not certify a minimal route from conflicting guides.
Is your True Ending route still viable?
Use the following as an advisory decision aid. No state here is calculated from a save file.
- Potentially viable: you have not crossed the next relevant cutoff and can still resolve the listed work. Keep checking.
- At risk or unknown: a quest is unfinished, a warning is unclear, or your version differs from the guide. Pause and compare the specific requirement.
- Reportedly blocked: a required Tale is marked failed after its reported cutoff. Preserve the current save and inspect an older one before deciding to replay.
Missable trophy deadline warnings
A trophy may depend on an early quest objective even when its reward arrives much later. PBZ Codex’s trophy warnings draw on PowerPyx; do not count that as two independent confirmations. Check your platform’s trophy or achievement description and the underlying Tale before a transition.
This page covers deadline risk. It does not provide a platinum roadmap or assert an official trophy total.
What can be recovered after the finale?
PowerPyx reports post-ending exploration for ordinary cleanup and non-missable quests. That does not establish recovery for a failed Tale.
First identify the exact missed objective and the last save before its cutoff. Compare what that save preserves against the progress you would lose. If no suitable save exists, check the quest’s replay or New Game Plus guidance before starting over; neither universal recovery nor universal lockout is established here.
Frequently asked questions
What can I permanently miss?
Community guides report time-sensitive Tales, rewards and ending prerequisites. Check early quest deadlines as well as the separate Mirage Estate and Last Chance sections; this is not an exhaustive list.
Does The Last Chance warning mean I failed?
No conclusion follows from the warning alone. PowerPyx reports that it also appears with ending requirements complete. Inspect your Journal and earlier deadlines.
Are True and Perfect different endings?
PowerPyx uses both names for the same route. That is community terminology; we do not certify an official naming scheme or ending count.
Why do ending totals disagree?
Phantom Blade Atlas contrasts launch-guide descriptions with higher pre-release press counts. Those reports are not a settled official total. Plan around quest requirements rather than a disputed number.
Does a completed map checklist secure the ending, platinum or 100%?
No. Map ticks are browser-local personal records, not game quest flags, trophy eligibility or 100% completion. This page’s audit does not read or update your save.
Where do I find collectible types and locations?
Use Collectibles for the type directory and the existing homepage map for positions. This page owns deadlines and ending preparation.
Can I recover everything after the story?
Do not assume that. Returning to an area and restoring a failed quest are different outcomes. Check each quest and preserve an earlier save when available.
